Earlier this year, the kids requested a trip to the beach because Bud had never been to the actual beach front. Idk how we managed that. Anyways, we decided to journey to the Land of Lovers aka VA and had a super chill day of laying out on the beach, building sand castles, and hunting for sea shells. 🏖️

The harvest. It’s one of the things I love most

The harvest. It’s one of the things I love most about gardening. The other thing I love about gardening is how it teaches us lessons that can be applied to everyday life.

Since starting this mission to grow 30% of our produce, I’ve been reminded that same way we improve our garden harvest by sowing seeds with love, gentleness, and patience, the same is true when it comes to people. Love, patience, and a whole lot if gentleness can go a long way.

It’s amazing how the universe works because one of my goals for this year is to capture more candid moments instead of posed ones and we really succeeded this past weekend. Easily one of my favorite pics from this year.

My little guy is officially no longer a little guy. He’s going through a voice change and a growth spurt. His love for @thomasandfriends remains still tho.

He’s also gotten more into filmmaking and animation. I can’t wait to see how this passion blooms. Here’s to Year 13. Happy Birthday, Bud 🎂

Somewhere between the holidays and New Year's, I decided that I was finally tired was being in survival mode. I didn't want this year to be a dumpster fire like years past. I told myself that 2023 was going to be my level up year. The year of thriving, healing, peace, genuine happiness, deep belly laughs, joy abundant, wealth building, and new beginnings and new adventures. Motherhood is HARD! There are more than a few days

Motherhood is HARD! There are more than a few days when I feel like I'm utterly failing my kids and mom guilt eats me alive. Then there are days like today when I open my lunch bag and discover a surprise note from Moo and Bud that let me know I'm doing something right. Mommy will always be the title I’m most honored to have the privilege of wearing.

We don't have to be perfect when it comes to this mommy gig. Our kids will continue to show us grace and love us as we are. And to me that means love means more to me than words can adequately express. ❤️🥰

Our little garden is still going and producing. Even despite the cooler temps at night and raids by Bambi & his lil friends. 😩🦌

If you’re looking for small tomato variety that is almost impossible to kill and produces plentifully, I recommend Yellow Pear tomatoes. These have survived getting eaten to nubs by the deer (they grow back fast), hot southern heat, and inconsistent watering.
